Sewing

Lots of individualized instruction and help – everything you need to express your own individual style! Don't be intimidated by sewing! - start with fabric and pattern selection, sewing terminology, and  discussion of basic sewing equipment. Learn the basics of machine operation and construction.  You may use our machines if you let us know you need one.  Patterns will be included in the class fee.  Registration will be required, and a supply list & fabric requirements will be given to you at the first class. Deposit required.

Beginning Sewing 2—Shirt
Build on the first class, adding interfacing, buttons and buttonholes, collars and sleeves. Call for fabric requirements.  Pattern included.

Beginning Sewing - Home Dec
Basic home dec sewing is mostly straight stitch.  Learn various techniques—piping, ruffling, closures, measuring, and making patterns while creating a decorative knife edge pillow.  Call for supply list.
4 weeks—$40

A Basic Sewing Supply Kit of high quality tools is available for beginning sewing students at Sandy’s at a significant discount.  Poor quality tools make for a poor quality experience  (not to mention frustrating)!
